Jinwar is a small village in northeast Syria where only women and their children live. Workers finished building it in 2018.
The women there built the houses themselves. They grow their own vegetables, keep animals, and share the work of the village. Some of the women came to Jinwar after difficult times, and here they can start a new life.
The village is a safe place. The women make the decisions together and support one another.
