Sea turtles are coming back to beaches in the south. Scientists say the beaches are quieter this year, so more turtles feel safe to lay their eggs.
Volunteers walk along the sand each morning. They count the nests and mark them with small flags. This helps keep the eggs safe from people and cars.
"Every nest is good news," one volunteer said. "We hope to see many baby turtles this summer."
